The ACT Government has passed changes to Jury laws. In some cases, courts can now accept a majority verdict if 11 out of 12 jurors agree. The new laws are designed to prevent retrials. More.
Arataki, the Malayan Sun Bear, has turned 25. The National Zoo resident received a four-tier birthday cake made of his favourite treats, including pumpkin, grapes, avocado, and weet-bix. Sun bears live for up to 25 years in the wild, so Arataki is considered an old man. See more.
