Terry Snow's Capital Property Group has purchased a key piece of land in the city centre. The block of land is on the corner of London Circuit opposite the Melbourne Building. The land is currently an open-air car park.
The new development will be a mixed-used percent featuring up to four buildings with a strong food and beverage focus. Existing car parking will be retained in the new development.
The Capital Property Group were behind the Constitution Place development.
The ACT Liberals say the science of culling to protect the environment is contested and want to launch an independent review into the practice. The culling is currently independently reviewed and the ACT government publishes the peer-reviewed studies here. The ACT liberals have pledged to pause the controversial culling program if elected. Plans for a new Kippax Fair Shopping Centre are ready to be submitted for approval. The plan includes the addition of two new supermarkets and additional housing.
The proposal depends on the ACT government agreeing to sell the adjacent land to Kippax Fair's owners.

The new Vinnies Store on Lonsdale Street in Braddon is opening today. I imagine this store will be extremely popular with thrift shoppers in the inner north. Doors open at 9am.
The Undercurrent Design Market is starting tonight from 5-8pm and will also run on Saturday and Sunday. Details here.
The Hall Village Christmas fair is happening this Saturday at the Hall Showgrounds. There will be an artisan Christmas market with over 100 vendors, numerous food vans and live music and entertainment. Details here

Expect the Light Rail to be very busy this weekend due to the Spilt Milk Festival at EPIC.
There will be more frequent light rail services happening this weekend .
Light rail services will not stop at Swinden Street, Phillip Avenue and Sandford Street from 9:00 pm until the last service.

For this weekend only, the Capital Region Farmers Market is moving to GIO stadium. This is to accommodate Spilt Milk which is happening at EPIC this weekend.
