News: Bunny Battle on City Hill π
The ACT government is going to begin a cull on the out-of-control rabbit population on City Hill. Starting next week, gas and air gun pellets will be used in an operation expected to last at least 10 days.
Rabbits have officially been designated a pest. The 'control operations' are intended to reduce the population density and the potential for environmental harm the rabbits cause.
The Rabbit Purge will mostly happen at night by a qualified, certified contractor experienced in rabbit control in urban areas.
News: 92-Year-Old Will Plead Guilty to Murder
Lawyers for 92-year-old Donald Morley have indicated he will plead guilty to murder. He is accused of killing his wife on July 31 and is believed to be the oldest person to be charged with murder in Canberra. She was also 92 years old and the couple had been married for 69 years. It is believed Mrs Morley had suffered from dementia for the last year of her life. More.
Sport: Canberra Cavalry First Game βΎοΈ
The Canberra Cavalry's (baseball) season has begun. They lost the opening game to the Sydney Blue Sox. They are back in action today with a double header.

Dirty Janes is hosting the Peddling Wares Market featuring various vintage sellers.
The Little Burley Market at Queen Elizabeth Terrace is on today from 8am to 1pm.
The Capital Region Farmers Market at Epic runs from 7am to 11:30am.
The Little Village Markets is happening in Gordon from 2pm-4pm and features young Canberrans selling their products.
