Zed Seselja is leaving Canberra and will attempt to run for a NSW Senate Seat. Zed said his family is joining "the exodus out of Canberra into regional New South Wales".
In his video pitch to NSW liberals, Zed Seselja said "We have to fight against cancel culture, and the attempts by the government to censor opinions that they don't agree with" without irony, he continued "We need to stand up against the woke indoctrination of our kids in schools". 🙄. 5 pharmacies in Canberra are participating in a trial to prescribe the contraceptive pill directly to Women. The NSW/ACT model is restricted to 18-35 year old females who have used the same contraceptive pill continually for two years. More.
Nickys, a new cafe in Dickson is opening today. Nickys is located where Moo & Chick used to be. Expect comfort food including freshly baked focaccia. They are serving Red Brick Coffee. More.
A new Live music venue, Fun Time Pony, is opening in Canberra tonight. Unsurprisingly all tickets to the opening gig (Spiderbait) are sold out. I'll keep you posted on upcoming gigs. The bar is located in the Sydney Building (City). More.
If you're looking for drinks this evening why not try Squeaky Clean. It's located upstairs in the Verity Laneway. They are showcasing drinks from local breweries, wineries and distilleries. Squeaky Clean has a grungy, dive bar aesthetic. More.
The Canberra Institute of Technology is hosting an Open Day. If you're finishing school at the end of this year, or just looking for a career change this is the perfect opportunity to explore your options. The open day is held at all three campuses (Reid, Bruce and Fyshwick). It's on Today from 2pm to 7pm. Details here.
Issacs Burger joint Grillin' has relocated to the city and is located on London Circuit (next to Mooseheads). From Thursday to Sunday they are open until 5am, a perfect place to stop off after a big night out.
