The National Capital Authority announced it is seeking design concepts for what to do with the broken-down fountains in front of Old Parliament House. They haven't worked since 2014 and would cost $20 million to repair. There's no chance they will be returned to their former glory due to the amount of water they consumed.
An 18-year-old teenager has their license suspended and has been fined $1800 after getting caught travelling at 147km/h in a 100km/h zone. The driver, who works as a courier said he was under time pressure to pick up an item.
The Canberra Wine Show recently wrapped up. The Best Wine of Show was awarded to the Lerida Estate 2023 Cullerin Riesling. I've checked their online store and there are bottles still available of this award winner. The full results are here.
