News: ACT Greens Backbencher Resigns

ACT Backbencher Johnathan Davis will resign from the ACT parliament and the Greens Party. Mr Davis hasn't released a statement regarding an alleged relationship with a then 17-year-old. More

What's next: There will be a recount to determine who will fill the vacant seat in Brindabella and this process will take some time.


News: ACT is Prepared to Ban Engineered Stone

The ACT is prepared to 'go it alone' and ban the use of engineered stone. The ACT will support a national ban on the product but if that isn't agreed on next month, the ACT could introduce its own regulations. More

Engineered stone, which is mainly used in kitchen benchtops is dangerous for workers. Inhaling the dust can cause fatal lung disease.

🏊‍♂️ Phillip Swimming Pool is Open

After a couple of false starts, Philip Pool looks to have finally reopened. The pool has been closed for two summers. Geocon took over the site and has been undertaking repairs on the facility. Geocon hasn't released details on their future plans with the site but for now, the pool will be open over summer.


🎤 Tim Minchin Coming to Canberra

Tim Minchin will be performing three shows in Canberra (Llewellyn Hall) this December (3rd,4th and 5th). One show is already sold out. Tickets here.
