Hello Canberra,
⛈️ Weather: 22° and showers. There is chance of a thunderstorm.

It’s the final Haig Park Market of the year. It’s running from 8am to 2pm. The markets will be taking a break for a few weeks and will return on January 21. Details here.
The Southside Farmers Market is on this week. They are open from 7am to 11:30am. It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up last-minute mince pies, berries, flowers, puddings and more. And a special bargain alert for this week: Long Paddock Eggs from Bungendore are selling trays of 30 eggs for just $10! Perfect for Chrissie breakfasts. Details here.
The ACT’s Sustainable Household Scheme has hit an important milestone, with over 20,000 Canberra homes taking up the offer of zero-interest loans to reduce their environmental impact and save money!
The majority of homes have used the scheme to install Solar Systems. The Climate Choices Dashboard shows what’s been installed and which suburbs have the highest uptake.
This year, there are great Christmas Light displays in Gowrie, Kambah, Conder and Ngunnawal, to name a few. You can find the most popular displays here.
If you’ve forgotten something for lunch on Christmas, select IGA and Supaexpress stores, will be open across Canberra. A few BWS stores will also be open on Christmas. Check online before heading out.
Not everyone will be celebrating or spending time with family on Christmas. If you’re looking for something to kill a couple of hours on Christmas Day, Hoyts Woden will be open.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a fan of rain on Christmas - it keeps things cool. It will be raining on Christmas this year with a high of 22°. There will be possible heavy falls. I do hope the weather isn’t too wild.
There will be no Canberra Digest sent out tomorrow morning. I’ll be taking the day off. The newsletter will be back on Boxing Day. Have a wonderful Christmas!
