Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol returns to Canberra this week. The show is running from the 19th to the 24th of December at The Canberra Theatre. Details here.
News: 👮 Police Begin Advertising via Tinder
ACT Police have started an advertising campaign within Tinder to show information on positive consent. All users of the app within ACT will be shown popups explaining the ACT’s affirmative consent laws, which were introduced last year. More.
Where to See Christmas Lights in Canberra
Canberra always has amazing Christmas Light displays in the suburbs. Here are some highlights:
- Ruthann Street and Stacey Streetin Gowrie - Two mates are locked in a friendly rivalry to create the ultimate Christmas Display, all while raising money for MS Australia.
- Huddy Street in Forde- There are estimated to be more than half a million lights on this street.
- Symers Street in Kambah- The Disneyland-esque display has musical nutcrackers, a 6ft kangaroo and a post box to send letters to Santa

Sport: ⚾️ Cavs Win Final Game to Split Series
The Canberra Cavalry have won the final game of the 4-match series against the top-of-the-table side Adelaide Giants. Canberra’s next series is at home against Sydney, which starts on Wednesday. Tickets here.
News: 🏠 Kippax Fair Redevelopment a Step Closer
The ACT government had allowed the owners of Kippax Fair, the Christodoulou Family to directly purchase adjacent land to expand the West Belconnen shopping centre. The decision is a significant shift from the initial plan of going through a competitive bidding process. The new expansion includes tripling the retail space and adding new supermarkets, a community hub, underground parking, and 300 apartments. Details of the plan are here.
