The Raiders Group have purchased the historic Canberra Milk Factory in partnership with developer Doma. It’s not year clear what the Raiders Group and Doma plan to do with the Griffith site. The Raiders Group previously developed the apartment complex ‘The Grounds’ in Braddon next to their NRL team’s facility.
Canberra Milk is no longer processed at the factory. It’s now bottled at the Bega factory in Penrith. Canberra Milk remains a sponsor of the Raiders in 2024.
Seed Heritage is moving to the space that Muji used to occupy. They had previously occupied a smaller store inside the centre. The new Seed Heritage store will be their largest store in Australia.
Also opening this week is Brooklyn Donut and Coffee Co. They sell a range of doughnuts inspired by New York with flavours including Red Velvet, Lemon Meringue, Cheesecake and Rocky Road.
Gang Gang Cafe in Downer is hosting a Comedy End of Year Showcase, featuring some of the best comedians in Canberra. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets here.
The Canberra Cavalry are playing The Adelaide Giants this week at home. The 4 match series runs from Thursday to Sunday at the MIT Narrabundah Ballpark. Tickets here.
The Queen’s Terrace Cafe is running a Christmas High Tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday leading up to Christmas. Enjoy a selection of sweet and savoury treats inspired by Christmas, including a trifle made with Parliament House honey vodka. Details here.
Carols in Town Park is happening this Sunday from 4pm to 8pm at the Tuggeranong Town Park in Greenway. The Salvation Army Brass Band will be playing, accompanied by local vocalist Amber Nicolls. There will be a sausage sizzle and some low-key children’s activities. Details here.
