Clean-Up Continues After Friday's Storm

Around 300 homes were still without electricity on Sunday after Friday's storm. Crews were called in from NSW power distributors to help assist with emergency response. A community hub was set up in Melba Copland Secondary School to help those still without electricity. The hub offered charging stations and bags of ice.

The remaining houses that are without power require individual repairs.

The ACT SES received more than 900 requests for assistance, and there are still approximately 400 remaining jobs.

The National Museums of Australia's next major exhibition, Discovering Ancient Egypt, opens this Friday. It includes more than 220 objects from the Rijksmuseum Van Oudheden in the Netherlands. Details here.

Sport: ⚽️ Canberra United Secure First Win of the Season

Canberra United have secured their first win of the A-League season with a massive 5-1 victory over the Brisbane Roar. Canberra's Vesna Milivojevic scored a hat-trick and is now the league's top goal scorer.

Canberra remains second from the bottom and seven points off the top four. They have two games in hand. They will travel to play fourth-placed Melbourne Victory on December 16. Match report.
